GlobalGiving in India
GlobalGiving India has over 247 NGO partners in India. Currently, they have about 642 projects in India and they have raised about $13.9M by Indian NGOs. In 2017, GlobalGiving raised more than $1.07 million in additional funds for NGOs in India, making access to the community largely free for most of our partners. GlobalGiving is an NGO like yours. Our community is free to join. We do not charge a registration fee or subscription fee. Instead, we maintain a 7-12% aid fee for donations from Indian organizations, as well as a 3% transaction processing fee. We are committed to raising even more money for your organization than we can afford. For example, for every $15 paid to GlobalGiving, we will raise an average of $20 more for your NGO. How the GlobalGiving Accelerator Program Works
GlobalGiving Accelerator is a virtual training program and a crowdfunding campaign that will help you advance your fundraising to the next level. After an optional one-week training program, you will participate in an Accelerator campaign. Where you will raise at least $5,000 from a minimum of 40 different donors to graduate and get a fundraising spot on the GlobalGiving platform. GlobalGiving will provide more than $30,000+ in equivalent funds and bonuses to participating organizations. Any registered nonprofit organization (anywhere in the world) Is eligible to apply. They will support you when you reach out to your own networks and tell your story in a new and compelling way. Donors can as well as donate in USD or GBP, which allows them to reach their followers in the United States, the United Kingdom and beyond. They will also provide equivalent incentives to your donors and bonuses to the best performing participants.
How to Join GlobalGiving
GlobalGiving is not just a crowdfunding platform, we are partners in building stronger and more effective organizations. Once you join the GlobalGiving community, you can continue to raise funds and access our tools, training and other benefits as long as you have due diligence with us. Their field volunteers travel around the country every year to visit our partners in person and get an idea of the inspiring work they do. During the on-site visits, our partners benefit from personalized support and training on a wide range of topics: create your crowdfunding strategy, take excellent photographs, tell compelling stories, all for free! These visits also help us maintain a community of high-quality partner NGOs as part of our due diligence and audit work. Our fellows in India are always ready to support their current and potential partners like you through workshops and consultations. Before you can go through the application process of the GlobalGiving Accelerator program, you must first have to join the foundation. Complete the simple, step-by-step online application to provide the information and documents we need to vet your organization for partnership. Once our team ensures your organization meets GlobalGiving’s due diligence standards, you’ll be invited to set up your first fundraising page.

GlobalGiving offers organizations several opportunities to win bonus prizes or equivalent funds during the crowdfunding acceleration campaign. Bonus Day: During the Accelerator, GlobalGiving will have a bonus day during which GlobalGiving will match online donations up to $1,000. Most awarded prizes: At the end of the Accelerator campaign, the project with the most funds raised during the campaign will receive $3,000. The organization with the second-highest amount will receive $ 2,000 and the organization with the third-highest amount will receive $1,000. Most Unique Donors Prize: At the end of Accelerator, the most exclusive donor project in the campaign will receive an exclusive award.

Their community is free to join and we do not charge a registration or subscription fee. GlobalGiving accepts applications from eligible organizations around the world. Organizations should be able to show a record of project implementation and be able to follow our due diligence process. Yes, to register with GlobalGiving, Indian NGOs must be registered in Section 12A and FCRA. Nonprofit organizations that must register with FCRA under prior authorization will not be eligible to raise funds at GlobalGiving. The GlobalGiving online application allows you to start an application and save it on the road. You can leave the application at any time, just be sure to click “Save.” If we receive your request before the deadline, you will be notified at least two weeks before the start of the next Accelerator. Since GlobalGiving reviews applications continuously, we can hear from you before that date. We have created a list of all the material that you must provide in your application. These can be colleagues, friends, family, volunteers, board members, etc. GlobalGiving is there to help you implement a strategy and provide support, but we don’t promote your project to donors. GlobalGiving cannot provide you with the contact information of potential donors. GlobalGiving has an online project entry system that includes options to upload photos, include a video and write a description of your project. You can start collecting information immediately and then enter it into the project entry system when you are ready. GlobalGiving does not accept project proposals by email. GlobalGiving accepts donations made in the following ways:Credit CardDebit CardPayPalCheckWire Transfers The reason you cannot publish a project is because a draft has already begun and has not yet been submitted. You will have to modify this draft project to publish a project. Once you have completed the modification of this project, click “Submit” in the upper right corner for our team to review. Once our team has approved your project, the status becomes “Pre-approved”, which means you are ready to start at the beginning of the Accelerator campaign. As a new organization in the GlobalGiving community, you have been invited to join our Accelerator program to become a permanent GlobalGiving partner. As an Accelerator participant, we limit your organization to publishing a project on the GlobalGiving platform during the accelerator. In this way, you can focus your fundraising efforts on this project during the fundraising campaign to ensure you reach the $5,000 goal of the unique goal of 40 donors!
